'But you can't just walk. What's that gonna achieve?
And you certainly can't walk without knowing where you're going!
Come on woman. Get a job and make some money! Where's your drive? Your dreams, your goals? Don't you feel bad for just meandering around all day long?'
She just smiles. She's heard it all before. In fact it's constantly around her.
Goal oriented, success driven, A-B style living.
It's the standardised movement of the world she's always walking through.
Cars rushing to get there. Clocks ticking to time them.
Ladders to climb with rewards at the top. Brief moments of joy when lists are completed. Anticipations about what will be next.
She sees this world all the time and hears it questioning her choices.
She reassures them all.....
'You don't have to worry. I know where I'm going, what I'm doing.'
And that's all she can say as they've lost concentration cos their next task's come up for completion.
Years ago they questioned her...
But not anymore.
They just see her as the woman who walks everywhere and either think she's crazy or incredibly sane.
Her husband gets her, even though he lives the opposite.
He sees what she is doing and just loves her.
What else is there to do?
But love the woman he is with.
What else is there for her to do but love the man she's with.
And cherish the opposites.
Relish the opposites - like she does, while walking through streets on this almost full moon night.....
